Food to Eat to Prevent Cancer

Lutein

Lutein, another carotene, occurs in dark green leafy vegetables, especially spinach. Lutein is important for eyesight, but can protect against cancer of the esophagus, ovary, endometrium, lungs, and colon cancer.

This vegetable is high in fiber and contains folic acid, which is known to fight cancer.

Eat raw or lightly cooked spinach for best results. Other foods that are rich in lutein include kale, pumpkin, sweet corn, chard, arugula, peas, egg yolk, and carrots.
