Alcohol is something you should consume in moderation in the fight against prediabetes. Different types of alcohol contain different amounts of sugar and can cause blood sugar to rise or fall. Studies show that people who drink a lot of alcohol have an increased risk of diabetes and that their risk of prediabetes is already high.

 

When drinking alcohol, choose low-sugar drinks such as wine or sprinklers that are diluted with carbonated water.
