5. Fried Foods
Fried foods are problematic because they are loaded with fat and calories and quickly build up pounds in your body. However, different fried foods have different effects on blood sugar. For example, potato chips increase your blood sugar more than fried chicken because potatoes are mostly carbohydrates while chicken contains more protein. Nevertheless, the preparation of these foods is problematic.
Both chicken and potatoes can be very healthy if cooked differently. When frying, the additional fat content slows down sugar intake, but does not soften it like fiber. Instead, you are likely to be hit by a giant spike in an unpredictable moment. For all of these reasons, it’s best to avoid fried foods.
